Kitchener’s hosting a Thanksgiving Pop-Up Market the week before the big day so you can taste before you order. Most dishes are $5 or less and would make great additions to your holiday. Participating artisans include Barbarian Gourmet (Pear dumplings, turducken), Bump City Bakery (Sweet potato butterscotch mini pies and hot buttered rum cupcakes), Common Fare (mac & cheese, greens, mashed sweet potatoes), pork loin with apple cider jus sliders), Cook and Her Farmer (Oysters, pickles, preserves, farmer’s fries, oyster sliders), Javi’s Cooking (Argentine empanadas), Pie Hole (Turkey/stuffing/cranberry pot pies, pumpkin or pecan chocolate pies), Ruby Red Kitchen (Vegetarian sourdough stuffing loaded with mushrooms, onions, herbs, artichoke hearts and parmesan cheese, curried shortbread cookies served with soft cheeses and cranberry chutney, and gingerbread turkeys), Sabor Brasil (pão de queijo, Brazilian cheese rolls), Selection Massale (Small batch French wines and beaujolais) and Uriah Duffy’s Chili Oil (Chili pepper infused oils and habanero oil). There will also be $2 beer and free wine tasting.
