How do you wanna do it this year? An all-you-can-eat buffet or a three-course tasting menu? Or something in between? Here are some ideas to get you started:

District will have an all you can eat breakfast buffet ($18) with buttermilk pancakes with banana-rum syrup, scrambled eggs with cheese, steel-cut oatmeal with bourbon vanilla brown sugar, house made spicy chicken sausage, biscuits and sawmill gravy, chipotle-garlic breakfast potatoes, fried sweet plantains with house salsa, cheddar grits, and chocolate chip bread pudding with bourbon caramel. And bottomless Mimosas for $12.

This year, Hopscotch will be open for brunch earlier than usual. There will be Butterscotch Donuts, Soy Braised Pork Belly Benedict, Soba Biscuits & Sausage Gravy, Kimchee Fried Rice & Shoyu Eggs and Cinnamon Twist French Toast. The new Brunch Cocktail also sounds interesting.  It’s called The Uptown Egg Cream and it’s an old style egg cream with rum, orange blossom liqueur, chocolate bitters and hazelnut powder.

Bellanico has a three-course brunch tasting menu for $22, and you can get wine pairings for an additional $11. The service was friendly and the food has always been incredibly flavorful, in my experience.  It’s a great value!

Lake Chalet’s menu includes Bananas Foster Rum French Toast, Dungeness Crab and Prosciutto Benedict, and Spring Vegetable Frittata. I hear they will also have holiday cocktails.

A16 is celebrating its first year in Oakland this year. Chef Rocky Maselli will offer an a la carte menu with dishes such as Crespelle with rhubarb compote and whipped cream fraiche and candied almonds and Capunti with lamb heart sugo, gava beans, and pecorino reserva. An Easter-inspired cocktail will also be available: The Carrot Top features Boyd + Blair vodka, carrot, grapefruit, and lemon juice with ginger syrup and garnished with festive carrot fronds.

The Grill at Wente Vineyards is overlooking the golf course’s 18th green and surrounding vineyards and the Easter Brunch a la carte menu looks more casual, with dishes including Handmade Doughnuts ($7.95) and Grilled Flat Iron Steak and Potatoes ($15.95).
