Social – Bottomless Brunch

A few months ago at District, I had a mind blowing dinner where each course was paired with a selected wine and whiskey.  So, I was really looking forward to the Bottomless Brunch Buffet ($17) soft opening.   There was a nice selection of many different dishes including house made sausages, chipotle garlic breakfast potatoes, scrambled eggs with cheese, ceviche mixta, biscuits & gravy, collard greens, cheddar grits, organic green salad, chocolate bread pudding with bourbon caramel sauce, bacon, fried sweet plantains with house salsa and my favorite: buttermilk pancakes with boozy banana-rum syrup.  Just be sure to pick out the pancakes that are cooked the way you like them. The food wasn’t flawless, but it was promising for the first try.  I expect it to get better and better.  Oh, and Bottomless Mimosas ($10) are also available, not only with traditional orange juice but also grapefruit and cranberry juice.
