Husband and wife team Carlo Medina and Geneva Europa have been getting ready to launch their new business, Savor Oakland Food Tours, this weekend. They invited me to go on a test tour and we all had a great time. We tasted our way through Jack London Square and enjoyed goodies at Chop Bar, House of Chicken and Waffles, Urban Legend Cellars, Bocanova and Miette. In between all the food, Carlo taught us about the history of the neighborhood and showed us old pictures of the same corner where we were standing. If your family’s visiting from out of town or you’re just looking for a new idea for a date, a tour would be a great way to get to know the neighborhood.
Fri, Sat and Sun, 10:30 – 2pm
$45 (includes a taste at each stop)
