Remember when Rosamunde Sausage Grill opened in Old Oakland a few weeks ago? I stopped by the other day and tried a Grilled Sausage on a French Roll ($6-6.50). There were 15 different sausages to choose from, including a few vegan options, but I went with the Beer Sausage (smoked, spicy pork & beef). It came with two free toppings and the cashier suggested Grilled Onions and Sweet Peppers. After adding Honey Wasabi Mustard, it was spicy, smoky, sweet and deliciously messy. The tangy German Baked Beans ($3.25) rounded out the meal – and they’re vegan too, in case anyone’s interested. With around 15 beers on tap, beer drinkers are covered, too.
