Where can you find the best burger in Oakland? People seem to have strong opinions about burgers, so this question always sparks a lively debate. I need your suggestions for this article I’m writing for Visit Oakland’s blog, Oakland Ray. We’re looking for different types of burgers, so leave your thoughts in the comments, even if your favorite has already been mentioned. I might even use some quotes in the post.

Hi Christina!
Our favorite burger is Victory Burger, whatever they’re cooking. Their specials are excellent and the plain old Victory burgery is quite a treat. We always opt for the chicken-skin mayo, too, and I love that you can get pickles as a side. Cheerful service as well!

unique burger — this burger that has bacon mixed in the meat before they cook it . . . never had anything like it . . . but its Alameda . . . at the butcher place in the marketplace on park . . . ;P!!! . . . that oakland burger derby i see (above) LOOKS INTERESTING . . . never heard of it . . . gonna try it ;P!!!
I’d request adding vegi burger to the poll. I’m always looking for more options. My favorite so far is Victory Burger’s vegi burger. Their vegi arepa would get my vote for unique burger.
Ditto for Sidebar’s burger. I also had one of the best — and worst — burgers at Umami Burger. Guess it all depends on who’s minding the grill!

restaurant burger – one more vote for Sidebar! But honorable mention to Chop Bar
veggie burger – Mua’s CBQ (I think that’s what it’s called) burger is the only thing I ever eat there. Deeeelicious.
unique burger – do they still have that pork trotter joint at Plum that was yummy
bargain burger – what’s that place on grand down the street from 389 – Is that Ahn’s? If that’s Ahn’s then another vote for Ahn’s.
I’m biased but gotta give a shout-out to Doc’s of the Bay for best Veggie burger and I’ll throw out there burger from a truck.
Restaurant Burger – Wood Tavern
Restaurant burger: True Burger. they do charred meat very well.
Unique burger- Umami Burger, specifically, Oakland Burger (Queso Fundido Burger), that is tasty with full of Umami. I don’t consider their burgers to be burgers in the purist way, as they flavor/season their meat, so more like burger shaped meat loaf.
