Lot 86, Gather, Miette

To continue the trend of movie theaters offering food and drinks, Lot 86 Bar and Cafe opens today next to the newly remodeled Shattuck Cinemas.  At certain times, customers will be able to enjoy a glass of wine or beer while watching a movie.

Gather, located on the first floor of the “East Bay’s Greenest Building,” David Brower Center, is planning to open for dinner on December 15.  Executive Chef Sean Baker (Millennium) will serve an all organic menu with many vegetarian and vegan dishes.  An organic bar will also feature specialty cocktails in a comfortable environment decorated with re-purposed and recycled items.

I was in Jack London Square the other day and noticed that although Miette Patisserie isn’t fully open yet, there were several people working in the kitchen.  Apparently, they are only taking special orders.
