I read about an interesting promotion in the East Bay Express the other day: “May is Innocent Until Proven Hungry month.” The Walnut Creek location of Buttercup Grill & Bar, the East Bay mini-chain, is treating anyone who emerges from the Walnut Creek Superior Court innocent to a free lunch. On the same day as your trial, all you have to do is bring proof of your innocence…and a $10 lunch is on them!
