The Solano Stroll is known as the East Bay’s largest street festival. With a parade in the morning, 75 entertainers and 50 food booths, plus all the businesses already on Solano Avenue it will be 26 blocks of free fun.

Taste of Temescal is back by popular demand. Local restaurants (including Asmara, Bakesale Betty, Barlata, Burma Superstar, Lanesplitters, Pizzaiolo, Scream Sorbet and Tara’s Organic Ice Cream) will give samples of their best dishes. Proceeds go to Women’s Cancer Resource Center, Good Cents for Oakland, Lions Center for the Blind, Emerson Elementary, Claremont Middle School and Oakland Tech High School Parent Teacher Associations. Ticket sales are limited to 450.
