Go find your grandma’s recipe at Butterfat Bakery’s 1st Annual Summer Pie Bake-Off being held at Remedy Coffee. Categories include Chocolate, Savory (meat & veggie), Fruit (citrus, berry, stone fruit), Vegan (sweet & savory), Crazy (anything goes). I’m excited to be a judge, but I have to admit, I’m a little scared about the Crazy category. Anyway, there will be some food and drinks for sale and all proceeds will be donated to an Oakland literacy project. Email celeste@butterfatbakery.com to enter.
