Frugal – Burger & Bourbon

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I like to take myself out to dinner.  If you ever get this feeling on a Thursday, take my advice and go to Hudson.  They have a Burger & Bourbon special on Thursdays for $16, which is a pretty good deal.  You might even want to add a few extras (white cheddar, caramelized onions, bacon – why not?) to take the half pound burger to the next level.  As a bourbon newbie, I also upgraded from a shot to a Bourbon Sour.  Don’t let the name fool you; there is no sweet & sour mix in this cocktail.  Handcrafted with an egg white, Angostera Bitters, lemon and orange juice, it was simultaneously light and creamy.  Even with all the extras, the check was just over $20 – and I had leftovers the next day.
