Lanesplitters is having an Oscars party, with games (like Oscar Bingo) and happy hour lasting throughout the ceremony. Large Cheese and Pepperoni pizzas will go for $10 and anyone dressed for the red carpet can take advantage of $2 pints of Lagunitas. They’ll be partying at all 3 pubs, but I’m told the bartender at the Berkeley location is especially excited.

Tina Tamale of La Borinqueña Mexicatessen is launching a new mobile cart venture and Canvas Underground will be there for the celebration. I’ve always enjoyed Chef Peter Jackson’s food, so I’m excited that he created the Mexican inspired menu: Chayote and Chicory Salad with Pomegranate, Almonds, Serrano Chile Vinaigrette; Rabbit Tortilla Soup with Avocado, Radish, Cilantro; Red Chile Pork Loin with Crispy Tamales, Salsas, Black Beans, Cinnamon Rice; Trio of Desserts (Alfajor, Flan, Flourless Mexican Chocolate Cake). Beer, wine and agua fresca will be available for purchase.
