Inspired by Pop-Up General Store which ceased to exist in December, Temra Costa and Arlene de Leon opened Pop Up Foods on May 9. You can pre-order meats, sweets and other goodies from local small-batch producers online and then pick them up at Pizzaiolo, along with any other last minute purchases. Items available this month include Boudin Blanc, Caramel Truffles, Meyer Lemon Upside Down Cake and Soul Food Farm Eggs. A portion of the proceeds will go to Pizzaiolo’s community project “Meat for the People.” The Pop Up Shop will continue every third Saturday, starting this weekend.
