Nosy – Soul Food Academy

Chef-owner Rene Johnson has been sharing her version of her grandmother’s recipes since Blackberry Soul Cafe opened in November 2011.  She also recently started teaching basic techniques through her Blackberry Soul Food Academy and giving her students the skills to “create simple and delicious home-style meals.”  I haven’t taken a class, but one of my friends did and he loved it.  In order to cover the cost of necessary supplies she also started a fundraising campaign.  Take a look at the video and decide if you want to donate.  There are a few days left of the campaign and there are perks for contributors.
