Remember my interview with Chef Robert Dorsey? He mentioned his project at The Gardens at Lake Merritt and the open house is this weekend. You can expect live music, garden tours, free sailboat rentals and complimentary refreshments donated by Whole Foods. There are also several workshops planned including Best Practices for Raising Chickens, Getting the Most from Your Garden and Great Compost Made Easy. And, of course, Robert will be demonstrating how to make seasonal sauces like Rocket Pesto and Melon Salsa using fresh herbs.
