Nosy – A New Option For Brunch

photo: Encuentro Cafe & Wine Bar

Eric Tucker (executive chef at Millennium Restaurant in San Francisco), Lacey Sher (former owner of Down To Earth Restaurant in Red Bank, New Jersey), and Linda Braz opened Encuentro Cafe & Wine Bar about three years ago and has been serving vegetarian and vegan cuisine for dinner since then.  I don’t remember exactly what I ordered shortly after they opened, but I can tell you it was mushroomy and delicious.  And the smoky red wine complemented the dish perfectly.  They just added brunch service last weekend with dishes including Authentic Bagels ($1.50), Biscuit with Tempeh Sausage Country Gravy ($9) and Frittata of the Day with Mixed Greens ($9).  This is good news, especially for everyone that lives in Jack London Square.
