The SF Bay Chili Cook-Off started as a private event 10 years ago and is going public this year. Judges and attendees will vote for entries in the following categories: Grand Champion, My Sweet Tooth Savior, Chili Most Likely to Have Repercussions, Most Original and Best Texas Style. Previous competitors got pretty creative with some of these entries: Buffalo Chili, Pumpkin Chili, Beet Chili, and Chili-Chocolate Cupcakes. Whoa. I’m kind of curious what Chunky Pig and Bump City Bakery will come up with! Admission includes a Linden Street Beer and tastings from each competitor – plus you get to vote for your favorites. All proceeds go to Adopt a Special Kid.
