Frugal – For Locals, By Locals

Hey guys, the 7th annual Oakland Indie Awards party this week!  It’s “a party for locals by locals” and when I went last year I danced to live music, watched artists paint, and tasted food from some of Oakland’s talented chefs.  It’s only $10 so you should go!  This year’s participating restaurants include  Adam’s Mediterranean Grill & Cafe, Arizmendi Bakery, Chop Bar, Doc’s of the Bay, El Porteño Empanadas, Jackson Blake Kitchens, Nieves Cinco de Mayo, PieTisserie, Souley Vegan, Sweet Bar Bakery and Tina Tamale and drinks will be provided by Drake’s Brewing, House Kombucha, Linden Street Brewery, Trumer Pils, Urban Legends Cellars and Bittersweet Almond Hot Chocolate. Oh, and the winners of the Oakland Indie Awards will also be announced.
