Local legend Joyce Goldstein will be at The Pasta Shop this weekend, signing copies and reading passages from her newest book, Inside the California Food Revolution. The publisher sent me a review copy and I can’t wait to read it. The book tells the story of the origin and development of California cuisine: “…chefs wanted to break away from cooking traditional and predictable food, wanting instead to create dishes that they had never tasted but only fantasized about – the food of dreams.” I can’t make it to the event, but please go and fill me in!
