James Whitehead loves pizza so much, he taught himself how to make it through cookbooks, videos and tasting it where he goes. This guy even built a pizza oven before starting his mobile company, Fist of Flour, about three years ago. The pizza is “thin crust, hand tossed, and cooked in a wood fire oven. We make as much as we can in house, and we source local, organic or pesticide free ingredients for our toppings.” Today is a big day for Fist of Flour! James is signing the lease for his first brick and mortar, Fist of Flour Dough-Jo, which will open in the former Pizza Roma space. The plan is to offer a “rotating selection of our top selling pizzas from our mobile operation, alongside simple salads, and non alcoholic beverages. We also have plans to develop a sandwich line…in house Meatball subs, Italian cold cut subs, and beyond.” Fist of Flour will continue doing mobile events, even after opening the space sometime in February.
