Did you know that parking is free in Oakland on Plaid Friday AND every Saturday between Thanksgiving and New Years Day? This includes all parking meters, city-owned lots and garages. The goal is to encourage everyone to shop local, so you should take advantage! Eat, drink and be merry while you’re shopping, but keep an eye on the clock because time limits will still be enforced
