My group met for breakfast every morning at Porto do Pão. It’s kind of a corner store/bakery/cafe with all different kinds of breads (banana, onion, coconut, water, milk, etc.). For breakfast they also had boiled root vegetables (sweet potato, yucca, etc), but I always ordered Pão com Ovo (Bread with Egg). It was basically an egg sandwich: fast, cheap and easy. For only $1, the cooks would toast fresh piece of bread with butter and slip a fried egg inside. I balanced the meal with freshly made fruit juice (Guava, Pineapple, Passion Fruit, etc), water and banana.
