If you work in Downtown Oakland, here’s a new lunch option for you. Chef Eddie Blyden (Miss Pearl’s Jam House, Henry’s) opened CrossBurgers last week.  There’s a Fried Chicken Sandwich and a Cuban on the menu, but I ordered a Crossburger (cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, grilled onions, cross sauce, $7.99) when I stopped by the other day.  It’s cross, as in angry, ticked off…and slightly spicy. The spongy bun, custom made by Metropolis Bakery, cradled all of the cheesy messy goodness inside. The Dirty Fries turned out to be smoky and spicy and they complemented the burger perfectly.  Chef Blyden plans to add more dishes to the menu, beer, and pop-up dinners, so stay tuned…
