Everyone had a great time at the first East Bay Dishing Meetup last week.  It was beautiful! We arrived at Hawker Fare as strangers and after a few minutes (and cocktails) we were talking and laughing like old friends.

We ordered the Oakland Restaurant Week special and a few other dishes like the peel-and-eat prawns and the mussels.  The first meetup was a success, so we’re gonna do it again.

The plan is basically to eat our way through the East Bay – fancy, casual and everything in between.  Are you with us?  The next meetup will be at Champa Garden and we’re going to order lots of dishes and eat family-style.  Oooh I can already taste that Fried Rice Ball Salad.  It’s $1 to reserve your seat (and to help cover those Meetup fees) and you should bring some cash so it will be easy to split the bill after dinner.

It’s fun and low key and we’re all about good food and good people.  You should join us!
