East Bay Dishing: Abura-ya

I’ve been hearing delicious things about the small plates and karaage (Japanese-style fried chicken) at Abura-ya since they started popping up at Garden House Cafe last summer.  The cafe’s open during the day and then the pop-up folks take over at night.  We should check it out!  They don’t take reservations, so we’re going to get there right when they open at 6pm.

There are ten spots and the plan is to order lots of dishes, eat family-style and share everything. It’s $2 to save your seat (and to help cover those meetup fees) and try to bring cash so it will be easy to split the bill.
