East Bay Dishing: Brotzeit Lokal

I stopped by Brotzeit Lokal for some housemade sausages on their opening day about a year and a half ago, but haven’t been back since then.  And when I noticed a Facebook post announcing their new chefs I was intrigued: “Introducing Brotzeit Chef Michelle (formerly of Suppenküche, Speisekammer, etc) and Chef Cesar (formerly of Shakewell)” who have “reinvented many of Brotzeit’s favorite german dishes, and come up with some new ones.”  It sounds like they’re going in a different direction with the menu so we should check it out!  Beer along with wiener schnitzel, pretzels, spaetzle, maybe a wurst platter and anything else that sounds good….who’s with me?!

There are ten spots and the plan is to order lots of dishes, eat family-style and share everything. It’s $2 to save your seat (and to help cover those meetup fees) and try to bring cash so it will be easy to split the bill.
