It’s no secret that I think Shawn Walker-Smith of Tart! Bakery is pretty awesome.  I met him a couple years ago at a Kitchener pop-up and since then we’ve become friends.  In fact, I recorded one of our conversations at FuseBox a couple years ago:

So I was more than excited when the folks at Sustainable Business Alliance asked me if I would interview him at their monthly event.  Umm…yeah!

There’s limited space, so get tickets now if you’re interested.  It’s free for members and $20 for the general public – and the cost of a ticket can go toward a full membership.

Locally Inspired is a monthly series that “inspires and connects independent East Bay businesses and artisans who are passionate about our community and environment.”

We’re going to talk about his “journey from the corporate world to his dream passion of creating community around delicious artisan-baked goods.”

Shawn and I always have way too much fun when we get together, so who knows what might happen….
