Fried Chicken From Kenny’s Heart & Soul

I’ve been following Kenny’s Heart & Soul food truck for a while, but finally got to try it couple weeks ago at the Laurel Street Fest.

I was with my friend Shawn from Tart! Bakery, who had already tried the Fried Chicken, so we decided to split the BBQ Mac.

It was comforting and flavorful, but I don’t consider it a true mac & cheese, unless there are crispy, cheese bits on top (that’s the way my mom makes it).

Kenny came out to check on us and insisted that we try his signature dish – and I’m glad we did.

One bite of these crispy, juicy wingettes from @kennysheartnsoul and we forgot what we were talking about!

You guys….his fried chicken is pretty spectacular.  Shawn and I were in the middle of a heated discussion, but it was completely derailed after the first bite.

It was impeccably seasoned, so crispy he could hear me take me bite, and the glorious chicken juice dripped down to my wrist.
