We had brunch at Miliki, when a friend was visiting a few weeks ago. It’s a Nigerian restaurant in the Laurel District, and they also serve American breakfast in the mornings. According to East Bay Express, after Full House Cafe closed last year, Chef Kirk Roberts brought some employees and dishes to the restaurant next door.
My friend ordered the Link Scramble (two eggs scrambled together with hot link, bell peppers, onion, potato and cheddar cheese, $11.25)) and asked for a biscuit instead of toast.
I went for the New Orleans Hash (two poached eggs, sausage, smoked chicken, yams, bell peppers, onion and hot pepper vinegar sauce, $11.75) and substituted a biscuit for 50 cents extra.
Both dishes were incredibly flavorful and the biscuit was savory with chives or scallions interspersed throughout. And we also got a fluffy cornmeal pancake to share.
If you go, be sure to let me know what you think!
