Toast Wine Lounge started a Wine Club last month. Limited to only 24 people, members will get three different bottles every other month (18 bottles a year), along with “tasting notes, pairing recommendations and cellaring suggestions.” This club sounds perfect for wine connoisseurs, because these are super difficult, if not impossible get on your own. Here are the June selections: Desperada ‘A Fragment’, 2011 Sauvignon Blanc, Santa Ynez Valley (282 cases produced), Herman Story ‘On the Road’, 2010 Granache Santa Barbara Highlands (444 cases produced), Cornerstone, 2008 Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (only 187 cases produced and only available at the winery). Bimonthly dues are $145.
Toast is also hosting a 5 course Wine Dinner tonight with Stage Left Cellars. Chef Peter Jackson told me he’s planning to leave the restaurant in a few weeks to work on other projects, so you might want to take advantage of this opportunity. Check out the menu:
