The 4th annual Oaklandish Radio Regatta is this weekend. With free gondola rides and half-price boat rentals, Linden Street beer and homemade sangria will be available for a suggested donation ($5-20 depending on the number of refills). You can even bring food and have a picnic. It’s also a BYOBB (Bring Your Own Boom Box) event with “a live, micro FM station broadcasting from the shore with tunes from DJ Dion Decibels, The Whooligan, and the original Bobby Peru. After all, there’s nothing like floating across the water with dozens of radios tuned to the same summer jam.” Proceeds support Oaklandish’s community work and Children’s Fairyland youth outreach programs.
