Taste of Temescal sounds like a good opportunity to taste lots of different dishes – and it’s for a good cause. Restaurants donate food and proceeds from the event go to local schools. There are over 25 participating restaurants, including Asmara, Beauty’s Bagels, Doughnut Dolly, Lanesplitter Pizza & Pub, Barlata, Pizzaiolo and Tara’s Organic Ice Cream, Scream Sorbet, Sacred Wheel Cheese Shop.

I went to Rockridge Out & About a couple years ago and had a good time. This year, they’re bringing back the live music, artisans, food vendors and live demos on the Chef Stage. Some of the dishes offered at Rockridge Market Hall’s Picnic in the Street include Adobo Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Grilled Corn-on-the-Cob, Fresh Oysters, wine ($4/glass) and beer ($5/glass). And, for the kids, there’s free pumpkin painting and a goat petting zoo!
