Hopscotch is hosting a whisky pairing dinner with Whiskies of the World on Monday – when the restaurant would ordinarily be closed. Whiskies will be presented by “beloved Keeper of the Quaich, Senior Master of Whisky, Chef, Writer, Minister, Spirits Judge, mixologist, and most of all, one of the best people to enjoy a Scotch with, Steve Beal.” The whiskies featured are described as Light and Floral, Fruity and Spicy, Rich and Rounded and Smokey Full-Bodied and there are only 18 bottles of the Royal Lochnagar DE in Northern California and one will be at this dinner.

1st Course – Smoked Kanpachi Crudo with black spanish radish and citrus soy
2nd Course – Duck Confit Terrine with house made Asahi Black beer mustard
3rd Course – Braised Veal Breast with soba and swiss chard ravioli
4th Course – Pair of Sliders: First Base Burger, house ground chuck with braised and griddled beef tongue, sesame aioli and Chicken Melt with house smoked bacon, sauteed peppers and onions
Dessert – Bites: Carrot Cake and Chocolate Torte
