Nosy – Roasted Cauliflower Pizza

Sliver Pizzeria opened last month and I stopped by on what I thought would be a slow Wednesday night, only to find a packed restaurant and a jazz band.  The pizza tastes just like Cheese Board and it turns out the owners have a combined 40 years of experience, with most of those years at Cheese Board.  In the same style, there’s only one pizza of the day and it’s always vegetarian.  I ordered a half pizza (Roasted Cauliflower, Roasted Leeks, Mozzarella, Campo de Montalban, Toasted Pumpkin Seeds, Fresh Herbs and Garlic Olive Oil, $10) and was gifted three slivers, hence the name.  That’s pretty much where the similarities end.  While Cheese Board also has live music, it’s more of a lunch/early dinner spot since it closes at 6pm. Sliver has a full bar that closes at 9pm, not to mention younger customers, with its location right across the street from Cal.
