EaterSF reported that SR24 is expected to open on February 1 in the Temescal. Pasta, fried chicken, pot roast, upside down cake and doughnuts with coffee sauce are on Chef Josh Woodall’s sample menu. Named after State Route 24, and located a couple blocks from the 51st street exit, it’s a “classic American eatery with a subsciousness for sustainability and the community.”

It has the honor of being only the 4th building in Oakland to achieve this status, but we’re still waiting for it to open already! Read more in the Chronicle’s In Oakland blog.
