Oakland Grown’s first Card Crawl was held on Piedmont Ave a few months ago. It was “a fun afternoon of shopping, exploring, eating and drinking.” This time, the group will start in Jack London Square, continue through Old Oakland and end in Uptown: “We’ll check out fabulous gift shops, discover new books, magazines, wine, jewelry, places to pamper yourself and more!” Stops include lOAKal, Caffe 817, Marion & Rose, Oaklandish, Entrez and 25th Street Collective (including Two Miles Wines and a surprise food vendor). Each time you shop with your Oakland Grown Card, you can earn OakShares, which can be redeemed for discounts at participating businesses. The walk is extensive so skateboards and bikes are encouraged.
