The Claremont Hotel is hosting a Tom Collins Cocktail Contest next week. Bartenders from Bocanova, Toast, Élevé, Build Pizzeria, American Oak, Madera Lounge, Zibibbo, Martins West and First Crush will make their interpretation of the classic with St. George Spirits’ Botanivore Gin. I’ve seen the recipes and while some are sweet and others savory, they all sound intriguing. The bartenders will present their cocktails to a panel of judges which will award 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. You can watch, taste and vote for your favorites and the bartender with the most votes will win People’s Choice Award. The organizers set aside two tickets for east bay dish readers.
