Scarecrow Popcorn just opened on Lakeshore Avenue a couple weeks ago. Owner Tish Moore is originally from the windy city and wanted to bring Chicago-style popcorn to the bay. She wasn’t there the day I stopped by, but her cousin Crystal was working and offered me samples. There were 5 flavors (Caramel, Cheese, White Cheddar Dill, Jalapeño White Cheddar, Kettle) and mixing flavors was free and encouraged. I’ve heard about the Chicago Mix, but this was my first time trying the cheese/caramel combination. It might sound weird, but it turned out to be salty, sweet and tasty. My favorite combination was actually what Crystal suggested: White Cheddar Dill/Jalapeño White Cheddar (or the Lakeshore Mix). The combo was cheesy, salty, tangy and incredibly addictive.  She also helped me record my first Tastemade video so you guys can actually see the space.
