Beer Revolution & SF Beer Week

Beer Revolution’s Grand Opening is scheduled for today.  The specialty beer shop and tasting room opens at noon and closes around 9:30 Tuesday – Sunday.

sf-beer-week-logo-21Today is the first day of SF Beer Week, and there are LOTS of events in the East Bay – like beer and cheese tastings and special dinner menus paired with beer.  Here are just a few events that caught my eye – you can check out the whole schedule here.

Chocolate and Beer features live entertainment, raffle prizes and samples from local chocolatiers and breweries. Proceeds go to Saffron Strand, a local charity that supports the homeless.

Question: When is it ok to drink beer at brunch?  Answer: At a Beerunch.    This Beerunch happens to be on Super Bowl Sunday.  Starting at 11am, you can get your beer and brunch on and stay to watch the game on a couple big screen.  MateVeza, Dogfish Head,Linden Street, Moonlight and Triple Rock are the featured breweries.

Four East Bay Breweries (Linden Street, Drakes, Ale Industries and Triple Rock) and four East Bayrestaurants (Meridian, Liason, Five and Chez Panisse) are teaming up for aShattuck Avenue “Progressive Beer Dinner.”  Eat the whole meal at one restaurant or have a different course at each of them as you ease on down the avenue.  By the way, the Chez Panisse Cafe is extending  the beer and food pairing menu for lunch and dinner through next Saturday.
