This is the 105th Anniversary of the San Leandro Cherry Festival and they’re expecting 10,000 people this year. There will be arts & crafts, live entertainment and a Kids Zone, along with a beer garden and plenty of cherries. All you bakers out there should know that there’s a Cherry Pie Bake-Off and it’s not too late to enter. There are two categories (traditional and nontraditional) and you just need to bring your pie, your recipe, and your completed entry form to the Pie Contest Booth between 10 and 10:30am.
