Soban is a small take-out spot in a Pinole shopping center (across the street from Trader Joe’s and Five Guys). They serve “CaliKorean,” or Asian Fusion cuisine. There are Rice Burgers, Burrito-sized Korean Rolls, Sandwiches and Bibimbap on the menu, but I ordered Disco Rice (Rice Bowl with Bulgogi, Shredded Carrot, Daikon, Crunch Crumbs, House made Furikaki, Teriyaki Sauce, Fire Roasted Bell Pepper Aioli and Green Onion, $10 ). It was a big portion of rice with veggies, (mostly) tender beef and plenty of sauce – definitely not a diet dish, but it was tasty. And a good value.
