You pretty much can’t go wrong with Champa Garden, but here are some suggestions for the ultimate experience.
Go with a group
I made a reservation for ten and we all met up. The plan was to eat family-style so we could order lots of dishes and share everything.
Get the Fried Rice Ball Salad
It’s their signature dish so we ordered two. You spoon the crunchy rice with pork in a lettuce leaf then wrap it up with fresh herbs. Yum!
Order the Laotian dishes
There are lots of Thai dishes on the menu, but I think their specialty is Lao cuisine. Among other dishes, we tried the spicy Lao Sausages and the funky Lao-style Papaya Salad.
Try anything else that looks good
The Catfish with Eggplant turned out to be another favorite because of all the intense umami.
Save room for dessert
When the server asked if we wanted Mango Sticky Rice or Fried Banana, somebody immediately said “BOTH!” So that’s what we did. The sticky rice was impressive, with the delicate flavors shining through.
We had a great time, so you should join us for the next meet up.
