Online Auction NOW OPEN! Bid on Pie, Pizza, Food Tours and More!

If you’re following me on social media, you might have noticed that I’m training for the Oakland Half Marathon. Well, I’m also fundraising for the Oakland Food Policy Council Council, which works to establish an equitable and sustainable food system. The four goals are:

1.  to make healthy food available and accessible to every Oakland resident;

2. to build a healthy local economy, including locally-owned food businesses paying fair wages under fair working conditions in food sector jobs;

3. to cultivate a healthy environment, including a “zero-waste” food system and ecologically sound agricultural practices;

4. and build upon community consciousness on the impact of their food choice on their bodies, their families, their communities and the environment.

I just launched an online auction and several friends and colleagues were kind enough to donate pie, pizza, food tours and more, so you can get some good deals and 100% of the proceeds are going to a good cause!
