I’ve been hearing a lot about Grocery Cafe, a Burmese restaurant that opened a few months ago. There have been a couple articles in East Bay Express and Chowhounders have really nice things to say. Tea Leaf Salad, Mango Chutney Pork and some off-menu specials? Yes, please! I talked to Chef William and he’s going to save a table and take care of us. The plan is to order lots of dishes, eat family-style and share everything. There are 12 spots and it’s $2 to save your seat (and help cover those meetup fees). If you want to join us, all you have to do is sign up and bring cash so it’s easy to split the bill.
