Mother’s Day Ideas

If you haven’t decided what you’re going to do for Mother’s Day yet, you should start making plans.  You can show your appreciation in lots of ways, but I would recommend something involving food.  If you aren’t up for cooking, here are some suggestions for places you can take her out to eat:

5 New Oakland Restaurants That Just Started Serving Brunch

District is offering their breakfast buffet and bottomless mimosa for $35 ($22 for just the buffet).

Alamar is having their first ever brunch pop-up for Mother’s Day.  It’s a prix fixe for $35 and you can upgrade to bottomless peach bellinis.

Lungomare is planning a special Mother’s Day brunch buffet of Italian-inspired dishes for $50 ($25 for kids).

Hopscotch is opening early for brunch and serving dishes like Kimchi Fried Rice & Shoyu Eggs and Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Biscuits.

Pican is celebrating with dishes like Cheddar Scallion Hush puppies, Biscuits & Gravy, Fried Chicken Benedict.

After brunch, you can walk it off at the Patchwork Show: Modern Makers Festival.  Admission is free and there will be more than 140 local artists, music, DIY crafting stations and food vendors if you get hungry.

Wente Vineyard is doing a mimosa cheese reception, followed by a luncheon with wine pairing.
