Caviar Delivery in the East Bay

Caviar East Bay 1 YearCaviar, a restaurant delivery service, started serving the East Bay last year and since then they’ve had 1,400% monthly order growth.  This means a lot of you guys must be taking advantage of the convenience…but what are you ordering???

The folks at Caviar sent me this pie chart and I thought it was interesting.  Most people order pizza, followed by wings, tacos, burgers, BBQ and nachos.  Haha…are these basically the major food groups?  Some dishes taste better immediately after leaving the kitchen and others can be more forgiving, so there’s that too.

Pizza and wings and tacos can be delicious, but there’s more to life!  You can also order a Cuban Sandwich from Modigliani, Lamb Chops from Ajanta, Malfatti from Bellanico, Bibimbop from Bowl’d, Potstickers from Shan Dong, Doughnuts from Doughnut Dolly…and more!

Caviar is currently working with 52 restaurants in the East Bay, representing cuisines from all around the world.  This number has almost quadrupled since they launched a year ago.

I’ve never ordered through Caviar, but at $4.99, it seems like a pretty good value for the convenience of delivery.  It also makes me wonder how all this growth is affecting restaurants – is it a win-win for everybody?

What do you think?  Have you ever had food delivered by Caviar?  What would you order?
