Chop Bar just started a Monday night 3 course prix fixe menu that’s pretty much what they served during last month’s Oakland Restaurant Week: First Course: Arugula Salad with Roasted Almonds, Blue Shaft Blue Cheese & Pears or Soup of the Day, Second Course Choice of: Pork Shoulder Ragu with Polenta and Fig-Apricot Mostarda or Housemade Pappardelle with Broccoli Rabe, Porcini Tomato Sugo, Dessert: Pumpkin Bread Pudding. My brother and I both ordered the sweet-tart pork shoulder, which was comfort food at its best.
