Frugal – Bottomless Mimosas & Backpacks

spenger's mimosaI was recently invited to check out Spenger’s new Brunch/Lunch Buffet ($29.95 for adults and $10.95 for kids under 10), which is full of freshly made dishes to choose from.  My favorites were the made-to-order Hangtown Fry omelet (bacon, fried oysters, spinach) and the waffle topped with butter, syrup and banana’s foster.  Yummm.  The bottomless mimosas ($8) are also a very good investment, if you ask me.

I should also mention Spenger’s Backpack Drive.  Just bring in a new backpack to the restaurant during the month of August and they’ll be donated to kids through the Berkeley Boosters Police Activities League.  As a little incentive, you’ll get a $10 gift certificate for lunch or dinner.
