Social – Valentine’s Day

Ok, people, it’s time to start thinking about Valentine’s Day.  Honestly, I would recommend cooking for your sweetie, but if that’s not possible, here are a few options:

I’ve never been to Ajanta, but they’re serving the Chef’s Tasting Menu (3 courses of Indian dishes like Veggie Samosas and Lamb Korma ), which sounds like a good deal for $25.

Revival Bar + Kitchen is offering a $65 four course prix fixe meal.  I haven’t seen the entire menu, but it includes fresh oysters and Marin Sun Farms beef strip loin.  There’s an optional wine pairing, but you might want to check out the “aphrodisiac-infused cocktails” instead.

Bocanova’s 4 course menu ($42) sounds the most interesting to me: Oysters on the Half Shell with tequila granita or Deep Fried Oyster with spicy crema & pickled radish, Dungeness Crab, Jicama & Citrus Salad, Cazuela Baked White Shrimp with guajillo chile & peanut sauce or Grilled Painted Hills New York Strip Steak with smoked marrow butter, Mexican Rice with poblano peppers & spiced creme fraiche, Wilted Greens with red chile flakes, pumpkin seeds and pickled papaya and Chocolate Praline Cake for dessert.
